Does anyone know what product they use to mark lines on the cloth? It looks like chalk but I doubt it is.
Works great if you can get the chalk pieces loaded and feed out of the pencil correctly and if you can keep super thin chalk pieces from breaking on you if you feed out too much at once or if you apply too much pressure when using it.If you want a line that can be removed, use a dressmaker/tailor pencil. I like the mechanical chalk pencil from Dritz:

The regular-style pencil generally ends up with a wider line.
Yes, if you are after a wider, more permanent line the more standard chalk pencil is better. A light touch is required and it will be a fairly light line.Works great if you can get the chalk pieces loaded and feed out of the pencil correctly and if you can keep super thin chalk pieces from breaking on you if you feed out too much at once or if you apply too much pressure when using it.
