Just received this cue yesterday:

First impression: 10 thumbs up  excellent workmanship and finish, virtually no flaws. Balance is excellent, and the ambonya burl is absolutely amazing in person. Ebony has a few non-black spots, in a sense not totally black but it adds to the flavor of the cue. Delighted with the overall look of the cue.

Went to play with it today, solid and clean hit, closely resembles a bluegrass. Consistent, low deflection, absolutely no problems running the white ball.

Verdict: An absolute steal :D Thanks Masonh, im very happy with it! For those who are still sitting on the fence deciding whether to order 1, better dont think too long. Great communication, excellent workmanship and hit.

Congratulations... a great looking cue from a cuemaker that is more and more being recognized for delivering good hitting cues. I wish I owned one.

thats a great cue, i like the fact that there is a little bit of white(for lack of a better word) on the ebony, solid black is necessary if your using it on a ivory pointed cue, but on your cue I like it better than solid black, that is a great cue all around congrats.

ya i agree the subtle figurings in the ebony enhances the character of the cue. i never had a figured ebony cue before because of my belief that pure ebony would look better on every cue, but now i know that is not true. the east indian ebony hits really well, plus the high grade amboyna burl(you have to see this in person)..great woods!
