CueTable Help

Last night I was having a blast running out. I had picked the top left pocket for the 8 ball while I still had 3 or 4 balls left on the table. I knew I could be anywere from about the first diamond to the left of the side pocket to the top of the table and have a shot on the 8.

My last ball was at the bottom of the table so I figured I'd keep it simple and play for shap at the centre of the table, I landed pretty much exactly where I wanted, took a second to think about the dead shot to the corner and realized I'd need to hit it firm with backspin. Nowhere in my mind did I think about where the cueball was going to go after I shot that.

Bang, I heard a couple people say great shot before I heard more people groan. ugh!!!!!!! fail My opponent won with out taking a shot.

I hope I've learned from that, maybe you can avoid the same mistake too.

But you still had the 9 on the table? ;)

Handicapping. He was being spotted one ball.

(Just kidding, of course, but couldn't resist.)

Why did you have to put "draw" on the cueball????...SPF=randyg
I wasn't sure if the shot was really dead for the pocket, it looked like it might hit the horn on the bottom rail side, so I used draw transfer top to the OB to push it closer to the side rail.

If the eight ball went in and you used draw then the eight must have been aimed toward the 3 ball because it would move forward with the draw you used.

It was aimed more at the pocket than the 3.
