Master Cue Maker Status

I don't think the designation is important in the least. *shrug* Just my opinoin of course...which means absolutely nothing. In anything I've ever done...I've taken strides to learn about it as much as possible, and execute it to a "T". Education...execution. If I do a thing to best of my ability...that's all I care about. I've seen many cuemakers that wouldn't be considered "masters"...turn in masterful performances on the lathe. Just like there's no perfect cue...there's no perfect cuemaker either. Just some insanely good ones. Unless God gets into cuemaking, or anything else...perfect is something we all just dream of being. Take the best of any profession you can think of...and none of them are perfect. Nor will they ever be. It's fun watching a cuemakers progression over the years however. It's a fine thing to watch a cuemake hone their skills with a diamond edge...to watch their trademark signature develop, those one or two things that allow you to identify a cue as theirs without seeing their name or logo anywhere on the cue. I love going to the Valley Forge Expo every March and looking at the cues...getting to see examples of the work that the likes of Eric, Travis, the gentlemen at Carolina, etc. put out on an annual basis. It's quite the metamorphosis. Like watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly.
