Masters Chalk glazing over?

I have cross sectioned pretty much every chalk on the market and a BUNCH of cubes of Master... That looks like no Master chalk I have ran across... As cheap as it is there are still several companies in China knocking it off.. You used to be able to tell by the box it came in because they had perfected the chalk labels... AM sure now the boxes are indistringuishable as well.... I showed Corey, Shane and several pros how to spot it several years ago at one of our make it happens but they would have only gotten better...

On a related topic, recently I gave a pool lesson in London (during my MC trip), and the room gave us one piece of chalk. When we got to spinning the ball, it was miscues galore. I looked at the chalk and it was stamped "made in China". WTF? About $20 an hour for the table and they give us five cent chalk? Bad five cent chalk. I went up to the counter and asked for some of the chalk they gave the snooker players. Master green worked fine.

I bought 1 piece of TAOM V 10 chalk a year and half ago and am still using it, it covers great and is cleaner, just did the calculations, so far that $20 piece of chalk has cost me 26 cents a week 😀
That stuff is nice. I have a couple of rounds rolling around in the basement.
I don't chalk over the table so it's not a huge issue.

The impact of your tip on the cueball sprays chalk on the table, yes even TAOM, vacuum and as Bob Jewett taught me, use a damp cloth, don't argue with the man, just do it, the results will speak for themselves 😉
I vacuum, damp cloth, wait 20, brush, damp cloth again.
Every 2 weeks.
Wipe the cueball regularly during practice.
Wipe balls with cloth after practice
Spin balls in the bucket with cleaner/ ipa 90% every 2 months or so.

My equipment stays pretty nice with this routine.

As far as flying chalk goes, I am well aware how it works. I used to chalk over the table and with masters sometimes there would be little "chips" of chalk that would get on the cloth. With Taom I never had that problem.
I just quit doing that.
