Match practice in US

HI all.

I'm travelling from Europe to play US Open in September.

I'd like to travel to the states early to get some match practice, match up for small sets etc. Where is the best place(s) to go?

Someone mentioned Houston to me as a place with healthy pool scene, but looking for other opinions. Any advice would be appreciated!
