both cues have purpleheart rings, except buttcap
the rings that i cooked in the oven to darken
worked almost too well, a little darker than i wanted them
i never said i knew how to cook!! :eek:

I am not a real big fan of purpleheart (personal preference), but the work you are doing with it is outstanding. Keep it up!

haha dangit..almost makes me want purpleheart now..curly purpleheart too haha..brents gonna kill me
 
Does the shaft sound like an aluminum bat when you hit with it. I have some really dense purpleheart shaftwood that I made a player shaft from and that is the comment everyone gives when I let them test it out. I really like the stiffness but the sound takes some getting used to. Chris.
