Fortunski fell apart, much like Mikonnen when the two played. Break was off, he played some odd shots, and he missed some easy ones. Seems his nerves got to him.

Capito suffered some nerves too, and not just in the final. Also in the semis. But he held it together better than Fortunski and Labutis.

You could tell nerves got to all of these newcomers on the biggest stage, but hey, they got there. The top recognized players didn’t.

Will be interesting to see if this catapults Robbie into the top tier. Got tons of skill, but he needs consistency, especially in decision making.

fortunski broke noticably softer in the final. i was very surprised by that, because his semifinal break was incredible. maybe cautiousness due to inexperience / pressure.

Win puts Capito just outside WNT top 20 ranking 22 and Fortunski and Pijus are in WNT top 20 at 18 and 19.

Even odder than that -- Fortunski had zero B&Rs on 20 breaks in his semifinal and final matches. I didn't see his Quarterfinal 10-4 win over Bongers, but I wonder if he had any in that match.

Petri was afraid of WPA bans. Also not having stable sponsors might affect decision to sign that. If WPA ban was gonna go how WPA stated it Makkonen could be left no chance to compete in ANY competition if Finland(too) and that´s his main income. We talked about this on WPA ban thread while ago. Or it might be thread about players who joined as signed players...
