Matchroom Major Event-European Open (8-13 Aug), Fulda, Winner $30K Prizefund $200K

I know this isn't a super major tournament, but I'm happy that SVB is there representing us, USA, in this European Open, I hope he makes it to the Final. 🇺🇸 GO USA 🇺🇸

I'm sure its not easy for him to be there amongst all those Europeans, who I'm sure will be rooting for Germany/Spain over him.

Not a super major tournament? Seems pretty major to me with all the talent there!

it's been like day and night though, the way shane played today vs yesterday. still he won. that won't hold up against filler or raga

FSR is also looking yippy today

Wow, when the double hill rack of FSR vs Alcaide came down to defense, I thought back to how FSR beat Biado to the shot in the defensive sequence in the 2022 US Open semis at double hill. Today, however, FSR misplayed a few shots in the match deciding sequence. Alcaide's masterful safe under the four sealed the deal. Well done!

Tomorrow is another day. Yes, as many have noted, Shane's play was pretty bad, and his draw has been pretty light in reaching the semis. However, there's no reason he can't find his top form tomorrow. Judging from today's play alone, the Filler/Raga match will have the feel of a final, but such reasoning often proves to be in error.

Best to sit back and enjoy the show. Good luck to the four remaining players.
