Matchroom Major Event-European Open (8-13 Aug), Fulda, Winner $30K Prizefund $200K

Raga is currently leading Ko Pin Yi 6-0. This is alternating break, right?

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot it's winner break. So Ko still not out of it.

Raga beat KPY 10-0 (right after Ko won his previous match 10-1). Yapp beat Chua 10-2.

9-ball, winner break.

Ko Pin Yi loosing two matches by zero in just a few weeks is something amazing!
Raga is feeling brave, nice to see him play that way in a big internacional event.

would be interested to know how that went down. obviously BNRs but how many. raga was unstoppable yesterday and played some sick shots

A comment on Facebook by John Chapman (cannot confirm whether this is true or not) says that Anton Raga broke and ran the first 9 racks. In the final rack, he had to play safe on the 2 ball, leaving Ko Pin Yi a jump shot. Ko jumps, makes the 2, and scratches. BIH for Raga and he runs out for the 10-0 win.

that's insane.

tyler takes it down, 10-4 vs a misfiring woodward. sky probably had a TPA below .600 in that match, if even that

FSR with two miserable strokes cueing... What is that?! Does the cue tip had something to do with it? Yesterday Melling and today Shaw had the same problems. Something tells me they are going to change chalk brand...

Ralf Souquet is using a Vantage shaft, uncommon, only Biado also uses it.

I have yet to watch even one match but the Matchroom site is superb and makes it easy to follow the tournament.

Tomorrow is the day where I have a tough choice. I usually don't watch matches without a shot clock on stream, but I'd hate to miss the knockout stage, so I'll probably opt to suffer through Day 4 on the stream. Thankfully, Day 5 and Day 6 will have the shot clock.

Pro pool is a poor product without a shot clock.
Not always though. Sometimes it’s great watching Chris Mellings work out all the dimensions for an amazing triple bank combo-

I've been watching table 1 for a few hours now and have not seen too much in the way of slow play.
It probably helps that I am working on my laptop while watching.
There has not been a time when I felt the urge to yell "shoot the ball!" at my television today.

I've seen lots of slow play today. Yes, 10% of the players keep it moving even without a shot clock, but 90% of them are slow as molasses when they are given the opportunity, and I saw a few instances where a player took a couple of minutes before firing. Pool at this pace will be less marketable. Thankfully, the matches without a shot clock are behind us now, and the real tournament begins tomorrow.

I think it's OK to play without a shot clock in the qualification stages, but in the knockout round, I just don't get it.

For the first time this week, I'm REALLY looking forward to watching.
