Did they tighten up the pockets? From my understanding this is at Jason Shaw’s pool room. The last event I saw streamed from there, didn’t seem like the pockets were tight

I just saw Brandon Shuff post something from Jayson's place. He said something about 4" pockets!

I forget what tournament it was, maybe a warm up for US open last year but they definitely look tighter today. Are they only playing on 2 tables like years past of the PLP?

Yes, they are only playing on two tables. There are two other tables for practice.

Standings after 20 matches of Day 1 (4 more matches to go). Top 10 qualify for knockout stage after 5 days while bottom 6 are eliminated. Points accumulate to knockout stage so every match point matters
So far, all going according to script. Only major upset is debutant 19 year old Filipino Bernie upset over Filler

Day 2 Schedule

d2 1.PNG

Table standings after Day 1
Bernie Regalario is the giantkiller scalping both Filler and FSR on Day 1
Need 2 points to be in top 10 after Day 1 which means after Day 5, need 10 points to safely finish top 10 and qualify for Knockout stage.
Though last year, 8 points could still scrap through into top 10 on tiebreaker (Racks Difference, Racks Won)

Really love the format!

Niels Feijen was ill and is replaced by David Alcaide. I seriously doubt he'll play again in this tournament. Hope he proves me wrong.
