Matchroom WNT Ranking event-Peri 9 Ball Open 2023 (Oct 5-9) , Hanoi Vietnam, Winner $25K

on these a little softer tables shane can do that to lechner and lechner can do that to shane. shane did it to lee van the other week.

With eleven hours of time difference from Atlantic City, I'm guessing that this event will not be won by someone who played in the US Open.

Aranas beat Neuhausen 10-0 in the Last 32 round!

Interesting that Ko Ping Han played in the Peri event (lost in the single-elimination round of 64) while the older brothers entered the Qatar event.

Last 16 -- Woodward out, Feijen still kicking. Gorst clobbered Orcollo. Raga won easily. 3 Filipinos left in the quarterfinals.

i feel it's kinda paved for raga or gorst with filler and lil ko not being there.

a surprising player to me is "the little devil" kuo from taiwan. haven't seen much of him for 15 years and he's beating fargo 800s.

Watching Raga v Fiejen. I always gotta root for Niels, but I love Raga’s intense gaze. It reminds me of Mike Singletary, the Bears linebacker from my childhood.

Raga’s cue looks like the one I’ve seen Jason Shaw using the last year or two. I noticed Shaw using different cue at US Open, wonder it is is one and the same.

Feijen was down 6-2.

Down 8-7 he makes a tough long cut on the 2 to get started and completes the runout.

Can he complete the comeback and move on to the semi’s?

So the 3 Filipinos in the quarterfinals all won! I predict at least one of them loses in the semifinals.

Billy's round of 32 match was tough to watch.
It's a shame one of the players had to win.
Neither deserved to advance. It's such a contrast from the top level pros.

Someone ask Johan to pick two more US players for JJ, out of the blue, like he did Styer in '18.
I'd rather see Max on the team than Billy, after watching this.
It was tough watching Oscar play great against Ignacio, only to squander half a dozen opportunities to win it.
Oscar still may be our best shot at a 4th player.
I may just get hammered and make prop bets during this year's cup.

The Peri looks like a great venue and the streams are great. They did not alienate the US fans like the other MR events have. I hope they keep this one going. Vietnam is beginning to churn out some elite players, too. They are doing things right over there.

Has there been any player feedback on the tables?
I like how flat the pockets are, much like the GC4 top I had on my last table.
