How do you figure out the table to picture ratio?
Done properly won't you be able to exactly replicate a table layout?
 
It's very difficult to recreate a 3-dimensional layout (i.e. real) from a 2-dimensional picture. Look at all the trouble tournament commentators have when talking about a runout; they can rarely tell if a ball passes by another ball, etc. (BTW, commentators are looking at a computer screen just like we are; they oftentimes aren't even in the same room as the table).

IMHO the best you can do is use the diamonds on the picture as a guide, and accept that your layout is an approximation.
