So can we all. I wasn't referring to an "open" invitation. I don't play that far under either one of them, and my name isn't plastered all over the AZ action areas. There are always people who know people.

im not much of a gambler but i will be at the open again this year..not hard to miss me ..my back is a walking bill board sign for pool..i usually have some pool shirt on.. I would love to see a match up like that ..i aint tooting mike fuller horn to loud cause i have only met him once..but man he plays jam up ..and after what i saw to see some one give him weight is something i could spend all night watching. I play cheap sets..race to 5 for 20 mabye even race to 7 for 50 some times..but thats about my speed right now..i working on upping that but i have to let my game catch up to my pocket..hehe..Im getting there..i just dont get to practice as much as i would like to
 
Oh, Clatterbuck can play alright. I don't know if Hernandez can beat him even at all and I think he know it, that's why he didn't play .

I have a source that says Brandon Shuff gives Matt weight when they play. Then again, that "source" said a lot of things.

He came in Fast Eddie's in Spring last winter (8 Ball Rat was with me and saw him) and gave up a little too much weight to a local player (plays/gambles real good) for some, I think, $200 races to 5. He had a group of guys with him. He played real good, was a gentleman, but couldn't get there with that particular game. He just gave up too much. I think VARick was there too. Not sure how it turned out as I left - but we watched them play for a while.

Heard he gave Pooky the 7 ball recently and beat him for an undisclosed sum. That is pretty darn strong! I can't verify that though. Just pool grapevine talk as of right now.

Pooky got back from Thailand and gave me a call just now, so I asked him about this. Matt gave him the 8 and beat him - and Pooky admitted he was dogging it pretty bad. He did say that Matt is a nice guy and good to gamble against. I have a feeling though that there will be a re-match sooner than later (and Pooky didn't hit a ball for 6 weeks plus in Thailand). Pook's a gunfighter.

Brandon is a very good player, but I'd bet on Matt if they played even, much less getting weight from Brandon. Just my personal opinion. I've been wrong before...LOL.

Chew gottit mang! Are you gonna play, or are you betting on your horse? I am probably playing in the open this year, so maybe we can hook up, then.
 
Well all i can say is i have seen Brandon Shuff shoot ..when ever he comes to Richmond he ends up a side pocket playing Larry Kerssel ....Larry is the best player in Richmond right now...and Brandon get the bet of Larry...but i cant see Brandon beating Matt Clatterbuck even..much less giving him weight..now i could be wrong since i have never seen Matt play but his reputation preceeds him so i guess i will see.....u know what..screw it,,, next weekend im going to Maryland to watch this guy play..anybody know what pool room this guys shoot at in Maryland..or if its in Va. I dont care ..im gona go see for myself.
