Maurice "Daly's Billiard book" is available for viewing and pdf download from Google books website. If your mother tounge is English and you want to learn "Straight Rail" carom billiards this is the book I would suggest starting with. Even though the book was written a long time ago the use of the english language is easy for a person like me to understand.

i don't see (the PDF link in the upper-right corner). maybe it is because i am in korea. differing copyright regulations?
It might be a Google restriction for reasons not directly connected to that book.

Daly's book is from 1913 and is no longer covered by copyright. It was reprinted by Dover in 1971, and they specialize in books that are no longer under copyright protection. (Although they do reprint some others.)

The PDF symbol is on the upper right next to the feedback button. The icon says PDF and not Download. If you still have problems Pm me and I will see what I can do .

I own the green cover Dover edition, I purchased it about eight years ago from my local Barnes and Noble for 8.95. What I like about Daly's book is that it differs from other books which teach gather shots early on and instead Daly's book teaches Billiard principles, or what I would call A common sense approach to Carom Billiards.

I have not seen the book at bookstores lately.
