Wouldnt it be great to watch the Mosconi cup Europeans playing Efren, Francisco, Dennis, Lee Van, Jose, etc for the "Players Cup"?

I think that would be a great event as long as we keep the Mosconi cup also. Team USA had their day and now the pendulum has swung the other way. Pendulums do however swing back and I don't think we want to bag it just yet on the M-cup.
I think it would be great for the sport if there were about six of these type of tourneys.
You do realize that USA won 10 out of the first 12 Mosconi Cups right? USA won 6 in a row from '96-'01 (all of which were held in London). As of right now, the record is tied 11-11 with 1 tie. I'm all for Asia or the Philippines competing in a Mosconi Cup style tournament against other countries, but I wouldn't give up the Mosconi Cup in it's current format (USA vs Europe) to see it.
