Im not sure if this has been brought up before, but i know people bring up pool movies all the time saying we need a new pool movie to put a spark back in the game like the color of money did years ago, and i agree a new movie would be cool...but what about a pool song and by that i mean a song literally about pool weather it be about hustling, playing, gambling etc not just a song in a movie when there is a pool scene like "werewolves of london."
Producing songs are certainly alot cheaper than producing movies and we all know pool lacks money right now, hit songs reach millions of people...Last what type of song would be best? Rap? Country? Rock?...and who would pull it off best? Personally i dont know i m just throwing it out there...

A hit song sung by a top singer that can play pool well and can sing would give pool a boost I'm sure, but a hit pool movie tops that ten fold. Johnnyt

I agree with you that a movie would be better but from a financial standpoint music is much cheaper...and unfortuneately i doubt big time hollywood directors are lined up to produce a pool movie...

A song would be OK... but a BIG movie would be key. I remember what C.O.M. did for the Balabushka Cue and what Dirty Harry did for the S&W 44 mag. You couldn't find that 44 anywhere and if you did you paid triple the price. It's time again now for a GOOD pool movie. One that is top notch directed and produced with big actors like C.O.M.:thumbup:
 
Movie with top actors, great script, top director, show all three types of pool scenes. Gambling in both old style poolrooms and modern. Show small and big time tournament play. Last but not least show players/player coming up through the league systems. Needs a male and a female player (maybe one coming up league and one gambling) and a stakehorse. If someone from Hillywood is reading this...please get to work.:grin: Johnnyt
