Thanks for the confirmation. Now I can make a reservation. I'd like to take you and your lady to dinner one of those evenings.

OK, wait a minute, I do a search on Quechan Casino and what comes up is a resort in Winterhaven, CA., not Yuma AZ. Am I missing something? If it is in CA I wouldn't go, as I am boycotting CA.

I saw that too, but I think it's AZ. You can call them and ask. Use the event code 3cUSA for the discounted rate of $109.

Its maybe less than a mile west of the Colorado River which is the CA/AZ state border.

From what @dhansen says and their street address it seems pretty clear that it is in CA, which makes it a no go for me - just one of my quirks. That's too bad because I was really starting to look forward to it, and seeing you, and taking you and Diane out to dinner. Hopefully in the future they will have one in AZ and we can do it then.

Yes, Mazin confirmed it's in CA. But since you love 3c, you could stay in motels just a few miles out in Yuma, AZ and come watch without spending a penny in California. If you still want to have dinner we can go off campus in AZ.

Just a thought.

OK, this is what I'll do. I just booked a hotel room on the az side, 9 minutes away from the venue, so we'll be back on for dinner. I'll still need to spend money in CA for lunch and snacks but that's ok. I just hope I don't get jinxed, as I did the only time I was in the state after I retired and fled the state. I'll tell you that sad tale when I see you. Now I'm pumped to see you.
