I've read through most of these posts and answered many emails in the last hour. Thanks for your patience.
Needless to say, the the Ring Game did not transpire. We were informed late this afternoon that the "Ring Game" was not possible due to a lack of player interest, which is true. The players are here to compete in the tournament and unless there's a guaranteed pay day, it's tough to get them to participate. All very understandable.
As someone stated earlier, this is how last year's event started off. However, the Player's Mtg was broadcast live for two hours and started at 7 pm ET as promoted. The Ring Game always just a possiblilty.
Danny Diliberto and Carmine Sardo provided commentary before and after Barry Behrman's meeting with the players. Keith McCready and Ralf Souquet also provide very entertaining conversation. This will all be available as an archive program before 12 pm Monday.
We appreciate for your participation in this effort to create a more dynamic experience for pool, but we need more than just "pool" to make it dynamic. We need personalities, profiles, story lines, events, club locations and everything else that make "pool" special. All this take time, staff and resources. We're getting there.
We're confident that you will enjoy this week of 9-Ball online. By this time next Sunday, if you spend the $14.95 it will be more than worth it. But more importantly, your charitable donation will help the ongoing crisis in the southern US.
Thanks again for watching.
