Anyone know when it's coming out? Can't wait to read it. Maybe it's a toss-up, but wouldn't a pool movie about KM be just as interesting as movie about Danny Basavich? Too bad KM wasn't on ESPN making goofy faces to the camera when Hollywood was watching.

I think a movie about KM would be very interesting, but only if it wasn't sugar coated. Tell his story warts in all. I don't think Basavich has "enough" story to support a film about him. That is, he's too young and his story is still unfolding. Keith is a done deal, he struggled through some hard times and has come out the other side it appears.

I also think a KM movie is in order. I haven't been to the movies for years but would DEFINITELY go for that.

I still wouldn't go to the movies, I'd wait for it to get to Blockbuster. :D

The book is a work in progress. Keith is full of stories and tales from yesteryear, and his journey in life is, shall I say, quite unique. He does want his book to be the ultimate read, one which will be entertaining as well as historical. One thing for sure, though, it will be the world according to Keith. :D

About Danny Basavich, I do have a soft spot in my heart for the Kid. He reminds me of the late "Geese," for one. Danny is the real deal, a thoroughbred pool player who's traveled both sides of the fence, so to speak. I'm looking forward to reading his story, and when the movie comes out, I'll be the first one standing in line to see it on the big screen! :)

Both Keith and Danny have a strong passion for the game and, because of it, have devoted their lives to a sometimes very thankless sport. In these economic times, with payouts remaining stagnant for the past 30 years, there is some hope on the horizon for players like "Earthquake" and "Kid Delicious." It's a tough racket, fraught with occupational hazards, and only the strong survive.

I think the winds are shifting in pool, and for the better. There are a lot of happenings coming up on the tournament trail which do give me hope. :p

I think you should author Keith's book. With all your insightful details and wonderful writings/posts in the past it would be tough to find someone who could write Keith's book any better than yourself. I will place my order now for whomever would produce this great read. Please keep me posted. Thanks and best of luck in everything.

You might want to have this book finished by the time the next pool wave hits, which could be right around the corner if the IPT works out.

Hi JAM !! We have talked about Geese before and I find your comment about Danny B. kind of funny. The first time I saw Danny play was around 1996 or 1997 in Lancaster, Pa at a large bar box tournament held at a Days Inn. My buddy Tim watched Danny play (he was just a kid at the time). We had no clue who he was or what his name was so Tim and I referred to him as "Baby Geese" until we found out what his name was. Should we expect Keith and Yourself in Hagerstown for Planet Pool on Oct 22-23?

I have told Danny on more than one occasion that he reminds me so very much of Geese. The first time I met him, I couldn't get over the resemblance, and he said that other folks have told him that he looks like Michael, too! :p

We will be out of town on October 22nd; thus, we won't be able to make the event at Hagerstown Billiards. I do like that pool room a lot, and the drive up there is very delightful. This time of year is the BEST!
