Hi all,
It's been a while since I've sold anything on the forums, so I decided it was time to put something up to thin my private herd out a little.
This offering is for a McDaniel Q-66, which used to be one of Bill's standard cues (similar to the Model Q-6, except with sharper inlays). It has six black ebony points with ivory inlays and spearheads on each point into a nicely figured maple forearm. The butt is also black ebony with twenty four ivory inlays. The wrap is nicely done in a slightly textured black leather.
The joint is S/S with a standard 5/16-14 pin. The joint collars are black with the thin McDaniel ring.
There are two shafts with ivory ferrules. One has a standard McDaniel tip (medium) and the other is a Kamui (super soft).
The cue is in excellent shape. It's not new, so I'm sure there are some imperfections and players marks, but nothing noteworthy.
The butt weighs 15 oz. One shaft weighs 3.8 oz. and the other is at 3.5 oz. The diameter of the tips (ferrules) are between 12.90 and 13mm, depending on where you take your reading on both shafts.
The butt rolls as flat as a pancake. The shafts have just a little taper roll. One is very minimal and the other is a little more noticeable, but both roll with the joint and tips touching the table. Joint protectors pictured will be included
Sorry, but I'm not doing trades on this cue. The purpose of selling it is to thin the herd, not add two lesser cues...
The price is SOLD shipped in the CONUS. There aren't going to be any new McDaniel Cues made, so jump on this one while you can. They are sweet players, and this one is a looker to boot. Thanks for looking!
Regards to all,
Steve
