This McDermott belongs to one of my employees, he said he bought it years ago. I can't find a picture of it in the Mcdermott catalogue. What model and what is it worth I have no experience with McDermott cues. Thanks in advance for the help
I cannot tell for sure from this picture, but the points look more rounded (CNC point process for them starting in 1991). The last series for McDermott that had sharp points was the D series (1984 - 1990).

McDermott did make some additional series (like the LE and P series in 2007) that had sharp points.

These blanks and butts were leftovers from the D series on a final close out of inventory and were great looking and playing cues. I really like the original D17 and D197 cues. I had 2 P704 cues with the darker stained forearm and leather, one female friend loves her P702 with tulip wood and my other friend had a P706.
Getting back to the cue above, it looks like a modified / customized M8F5 with additional point and ring work. I found a refinished M8F5 for sale here in 2019 for $200:
I have a beautiful McDermott M8F5 cue for sale. This cue was sent back to the factory where it was completely reconditioned, including a brand new shaft mated to the butt. McDermott gives it a value of $399. I will take $200 (firm) shipped to...

If the above cue is indeed a one off, it could be more valuable if it wasn't played and in original factory condition. I would say somewhere between $200 and $500. I personally don't like colored stained cues and instead like natural stains and sharp points.
