Found this awesome cue on craigslist and it's near perfect just a couple of blemishes on the butt end. What do you think?

I don't know what you paid but you have a very nice cue...

Back when this cue was made you either shot a McDermott or a Schon, they were the cues to own.

People used to refer to your new shooter as the 'dice cue' back in the day. The D-19 was one of the most popular of the D series, and all of them are collectable today.

Coolest thing is you can have it refinished, new shafts made ect. by the original maker.

Good rolls

if you paid under 400 you stoled it, if you paid up to 700 you aint hurt for a great cue assumin it rolls out straight .

Yes I got this cue for $300, the guy who sold it to me said that his stepfather gave it to him 20 years ago and that it's been just sitting in his closet since. I told him what it was worth and he said that he never liked his stepfather and just wanted to get rid of it and thought $300 was a fair price.

only problem with McDermott is everybody has one. lol

Yea, but that really is one of the absolute best McD's to have... That cue always makes me smile when I see one.

I like all D-series cues that have Irish linen or leather wraps, but not so much a big fan of the nylon wrapped ones... The C and D series are exceptionally consistent hitting cues. McDermott had fantastic wood back then, and IMHO those can stand up to a pepsi-challenge style blind test versus pretty much any equally spec'd cue out there and give a run for money in terms of quality of hit.

Congrats to the OP for the good find at very fair price. I would have bought that one too.

Now, I'd get that shaft turned to your ideal diameter (assuming that's an option) and put a milk dud tip on it... That's a cue you can break and shoot with all day long. ;)

Busboy my man, I think every cue on here as well as case 'looks nice too you'

All 1,600 of the recent ones.

Hey I can't help it I injoy looking at cases and cues which most I can't buy lol. And why not post that's what posts are made for. Btw thast a sexy cue as ur pic just thought I'd let u know hahahaha :thumbup::thumbup:

I picked up a D-19 about 5 years ago. Immediately sent it to Mcdermott for refinnishing. One of the best cues in my opinion and I wouldn't part with it. Just love the looks of it and hits real nice also.
