McDermott Mango Wood Cue?

Just got an email from Ozone that their Cue of the Month is a Mango Wood cue. Looks very nice, but I have not seen that wood used before. Any thoughts or comments about Mango Wood?

Saw that. Personally, I don't find that grain pattern attractive, but it would be a very unique cue. And the price is right.

Looks like bamboo to me.

I agree it's not pretty. It's softer than white ash. Eeekkk. It's rated 980 on the janka scale. I'm sure McDermott builds strong cues but idk on this one.

Box elder is only 720, but people love it in cues.

They are stabilized and cored .
Burl woods are even softer .
