Does anybody use McDermott cue with OB-1 shaft?

Im thinking to get this combination....

Before I recently received my Shaman Custom Cue I played with a McDermott MF8-5 Sword and an OB-1 for nearly 2 years.

I played as well or better with that combination than I have ever played, and I think the OB-1 made all the difference.

I am using an OB-1 on my Shaman and I am just now starting to get used to the different hit, but I think I will play as well with these as I did with the McDermott.

For my money OB-1 is the real deal.

For nearly six months

As stated before the OB-1 makes the McDermott hit very different IMO. I would like to get a custom 3/8-10 cue and try the OB-1 on it. That was my intent from the beginning, but I went with the McD in case I didn't like it.
Long and short was I had a cheap McD break cue and bought the OB-1 to test it out. I liked it and still use it. Can't say how it compares to others.

Don't overlook the McDermott high performance shafts...The I series. I like my I2 better than the OB 1. You might be surprised....

I have a mcdermott and an ob1 and absolutly love it. I don't know what cue it is. I think it costs about $350 new.

It has a lot of feel to it. But it isn't too soft. Anyone who has hit with my cue has liked it.

I have a moori hard on it.

Id say go for it. I have a lot more confidence on longer shots with draw or english. Could be in me head or could be the ob1.

tip

It is a sniper tip on mine.

Aren't the I2's about the same price as the OB-1's ? Can you get the custom McD ringwork too ?

I play with a McDermott and an OB-1 and have so for about a year now. I would never go back. The collar doesnt fit exactly perfect, but when I get a chance I will get that fixed.
