McDermott, OB cue extension

After doing some research and finding that neither OB nor anyone else appears to make a cue extension for OB cues, I've started to look at other options.

I believe OB and McDermott are both using 1/2x13 thread weight bolts and that has me wondering. Does anybody know or can anybody verify if a McDermott extension would fit on an OB cue?

Thanks!

The Mcdermott weight bolt will fit into the OB butt , no problem. But if you wanted to use the Mcdermott extension off/on, the OB butt and bumper will need to be modified.

McD also sells a bumper for use with the extension, it's shorter with a hole.
I was going to make a joke here, but JAM and others may get offended ;):grin-square:
Actually JAM would probably had liked it, so let's leave it as "others" LOL

Awesome! Thanks for the info and pics. How close is the outside diameter of the OB compared to the McD? If I just left the bumper off could I use the extension without any issue?

Thanks!

You could do that, as long as you don't mind carrying the bumper around.
In order to use the extension that way, you're gonna need the bumper every
time you install the extension. Cheers!

What about a Joss weight bolt and cue extension. Joss was involved in the Early OB cues. Might fit?

Is the bumper needed when the extension is installed? I'm 6'6" and would likely have the extension on all the time unless I needed to remove it because of room constraints.
