Hello,
I can't say anything about the McD version of the Stinger, but I did own one of the older versions. It did the job and is a nice, well-built cue. I am not sure about the McD version, but I really didn't care for the coating that was on the shaft. That was really my only complaint about the product. It's a good product as far as I am concerned.
From what i've heard the original was better. every now and again one of the old school jerico stingers pops up for sale i'd keep my eyes open for one of those

I purchased two just to try them out.
Honestly, I would pass. There are too many other good break/jump cues out there. I was not impressed with them at all. They were too stiff and, well, honestly, for the price, there are a lot better ones out there.
