The NG-05 is a real good cue. My teammate last session had one that I definitely preferred to use over my break cue. It has a really sweet hit for a break cue. It comes with a G-Core shaft that you could use as a player and the jump handle if you prefer using that grip. I like the feel on the Stinger shaft with it's huge sweet spot. I have also used my friends BK2 and I have to say do like that break cue a little bit better but technically the NG-05 is a great value...
Bottom line: If I could get the NG-05 for under $200 I would jump on it but if I could get a BK2 for the same price I would get that instead.
It was the best break cue they had at my local billiards store so i picked it up. Came with the g-core shaft as well as the stinger shaft with a jump handle. Very nice even when just using it as a playing cue using the g-core shaft.
I'm not a huge McDermott fan, but the Stingers are excellent break cues, as well as excellent jump cues. Can't be the price they can be purchased for either...
