Mcdermott Stinger users? Jumping with phenolic or Leather?

Was wondering how the stinger breaks and more particularly jumps, and what type of tip you use. I have never used a phenolic tip, but from what I hear you lose control to gain power. Power is something I don't need anymore of on my break and I like breaking with my kamui black hard. So I was curious are there pros and cons to having a jump cue with a phenolic tip? Thanks

I have a big boy leather tip on mine and I love it. I have not used a phenolic tip on a stinger but I've used them on other cues and dislike the feel.

I have the Samsara tip on my stinger. Having used phenolic and other J/B tips, I have come to the conclusion that, for me, the samsara is the best option. I can jump very close to another ball and have great control with this combo. Oh yeah, breaks great also. Try it...then you'll know.

I have a couple of McDermott Stingers. I don't do much jumping, so they're used pretty much exclusively as break cues. On both, I didn't like the lack of cue ball grip of the phenolic tip that comes standard. On one, I had it replaced with a Samsara, and on the other a Kamui Black Hard. I like both much more than the phenolic tip, but the Kamui Black Hard is definitely my favorite. I'll sacrifice a bit of tip hardness for the added control of the Kamui any day of the week.
