Yes several years ago McDermott made a cue model that had a titanium coated shaft that contained a center core in the shaft of some form of foam. The 1 example that I dealt with and eventually sold through my employer was extremely front heavy because of the shaft construction. I seem to recall that the cue was over 21 oz in weight and that McDermott could not get the cue lighter than 21 oz.
