Me playing

Charlie

That is some very nice shooting, I can see you are still using some of that "Slip and Slide" draw that I taught you all those years ago.

On your break, you are not hitting the 1 ball "square". That is causing the cue ball to get away from the 1 ball - and that is why you ended up scratching in the side (even with those little pockets).

I would like to see you keep the cue ball more in the center of the table. If you plan your run outs from the center of the table, it tends to make things a lot easier. If you have a shot on one of the end rails that requires position outside center table - get where you need to, take care of bidniz and then get back in the center of the table as soon as possible.

In some of those run-outs, you utilized some great shot-making to get out, but in the long run, that will burn up a lot of mental energy. You want to reserve that mental energy and save those great shots for when you REALLY need them.

In the 3rd rack, you were running low on mental energy (after making all of the tough shots in the last rack) and that caused you to miss a shot and miss position several times.

Make life easier on yourself and stay in the center of the table - and work on hitting that 1 ball square on the break shot.

As always, if you need anything - especially with 14.1 - get with me. It has been a very long time since we worked together, but I can see that you worked and built upon a lot of the things we worked on back in 2002.

Good luck!

yea I agree my position was a little rough in the videos. I hadn't really got warmed up yet. I will post some more stuff later. As far as the break, I agree my hit on the one ball was a little off center. No problem easy fix.

Thanks for the comments.

Nice shooting Charlie, keep it up.

Is there anyway you can get a better camera angle? I think that would make the videos look a lot better and the light from the pool table wouldn't be so bright.

Thanks for the comment on my video by the way :) I'll return the favor.

5ballcharlie, nice shooting, it must be a nice camera, it would be nice if they had a spot on here where only clips of posters shooting could be posted and we could get feed back from everyone. Tramp Steamer, that was funny.

Yea I still use that slip stroke on most of my draw shots ESPECIALLY if I only want to move within 6 to 12 inches. I have used alot of the stuff you taught me long ago David. I still shoot that drill from time to time were you go back across the table from side rail to side rail. I'm not big on drills but I believe that's one and any of the stuff Joe Tucker puts out are very helpful.

you pocket balls nicely. you need to shorten your bridge some and not move your body everytime on your last forward stroke. take more time to figure how your runout it going to proceed rather than a ball or two at a time. thanks for the video.

Thanks for posting the video. You have a nice easy stroke and your position play is very good. There were several posts on improving the camera angle. Looking forward to seeing more from you. What brand and model camera are you using?
