Melbourne Inman

Melbourne was an English Billiards Champion about 1900.
He was a man of small stature but possessed a large head for the size of his body.
He gave his height as 5 feet but everyone said he was not that tall who knew him.
One day he was in court about a traffic accident and the judge was giving him his punishment when the bailloff said ,"Stand Sir , while the judge gives his verdict "
Inman shouts in an outraged voice "I am standing" To which the courtroom erupted in laughter.

Speaking of Inman - I didnt realize that Hoppe played so much English Billiards...hmmm... I lernt something new today. thanks.

I didn't realize Hoppe played it either. Neither he nor Inman had any chance at walter Lindrum though, he ran thousands while everyone else ran hundreds.
