Mental Game Secrets - The Art of Quiet Mind

Efren has had the quiet mind thing down cold for decades. He's even acquired ways to potentiate it by working (possibly reflexively) shy, bemused, almost beatific and saintly smiles into it. A very endearing vision of a gentle god who walks among us.

Danny D captured Efren's essence best: "Efren's a sweetheart . . . ya gotta love him!"

INNER TENNIS by Tim Galloway.

So after watching your videos I ordered the Zen in the Art of Archery book. I am now in a coma!

I had no chance of reading through this book although I'm sure it's full of good info and teachings if one can possibly make their way through it, I could not (although I did manage to read the breathing part). I then asked my wife if she would read it and give me the Cliff Notes, she couldn't get past page 7. My wife is an attorney and an avid reader so if she cannot get through it what chance did I have????

So as I was skipping around the book to see if there was anything that I could hang my hat on, I noticed that near the end the auther mentioned something like he was studying with his Master for 5 years and just starting to understand his teachings. FIVE years??? I'm an old man that may not be around 5 years from now. I think I'll pass.

I appreciate your sharing but I think I'll just hold my "water". I do like your road stories so thanks for that. :)

That's hilarious

That book is so amazing, back in my late teens and early 20s I read the book several times and coincidently I ordered the audio version and listened to it yesterday. Lot's of incredible, mental gravy for your mashed potatoes in that book....maybe you should stick to INNER TENNIS by Tim Galloway.

Thanks. I do believe in the mental game's importance that's why I bought the book, but I guess I don't have the mental capacity to grasp it. LOL I'll just continue to dog it as I have for 45+ years.:eek::grin::D:thumbup:

I do enjoy listening to you speak in your quick videos and have bought a couple of your dvds.

You may have too much mental capacity to grasp it....our minds have been barraged with psychological non sense recently until "common sense" isn't common anymore.

We all need to find a way to slow down our minds, meditate, do breathing exercises, or playing pool is a wonderful way to get in a "zone" and experience thoughtless thought.
