I have just made some more dramatic improvments in my runout ability. But, today when I was playing I would consistnely run out to the 7 ball with 3 easy shots left. I would say to my self, nice job, I am going to run out this rack and miss the duck. I even told myself not to and took extra care in pre shot routine. I know this is a mental problem and I thought I would be immune to it but damm it learked its ugly head.
What are the best sources, IE books videos or what not for this type of thing. Has anyone read the inner game of tennis? I heard that was supposed to be great.
Thanks,
Jordan

Don't miss Bob Rotella's "Golf is Not a Game of Perfect". Jeanette Lee originally recommended it to me and I know Gerda Hofstatter thinks highly of the book, too. Even if you don't play golf, the book will make perfect sense to you and will strengthen your mental game at the pool table.

Start with "Pleasure of Small Motions" by Fancher. That is a good inner game book. The inner game of tennis/golf is not as good IMO. Mostly you will have to learn how your mind functions and how to deal with reality. No biggie. :)
