I have a meucci 95-7 with two shafts (one original pre dot and an aftermarket black dot) that I would value at $250-300. What kind of shaft comes with your cue, and is there only one?

Meucci

She just had one shaft that had the extra long ferrule. The white inlays also look like ivory but I couldnt find any descriptions with the old sales brochures online.
What is funny is that she has been playing with a Minnesota Fats POC and I just assumed she didnt know better or care. I am not normally wild about Meucci but I played a couple of racks with it and liked it. I think I convinced her that it doesnt do anybody any good just sitting in a case at home.

It's a nice design (most Meucci's are, imo) but, personally, I run from any with the newer cursive logos. The quality just doesn't compare to the older "originals" with the block letter logos.

the one pictured here is about a $200 - $250 cue if straight, imo.

just my opinion, but Meucci's are only worth what you can sell them for, as playing with one is pretty useless (unless you are sponsored and paid to do so). Worst hitting cue EVER

Worst hitting cue EVER

Generally I'm inclined to agree with this statement, and with the other post about the cues labeled "Meucci Originals" being the only decent one meucci made. However, myself and some others I know have cues from the 95 series and they are well built, solid hitting cues. One guy I know has been playing with a 95-16 for 30+ years and refuses to switch.

Is it 2025 already?

the chances of this cue having iv for embellishments is slim and none and slim just left town

that said, the design concept is solid to say the least

always liked it:)

I disagree.

They are not the worst hitting but there is a learning curve to play with one. I still believe only advance players can play with a Meucci. There are things you can do with a Meucci that other cues can only dream of and that includes Predator and Mezz.

If people think Predator and Mezz can move a ball. A Meucci cue can make a ball dance all over the table.

There are many eras of Meucci and they all hit different according to most people. I grew playing the 95 series with red dot shaft.

Are there any newer Meucci that plays like that era? You know the spaghetti shaft with the insane draw.

I have asked a few sellers how are the hits and a lot of them tell me, solid and stiff. That's not what I want, therefore, Meucci must have reinvented itself. I want the whippy flexible hit.

If anyone knows anything about this please let me know.

No way Meucci used IV.

I like how they play but that's about it. LOL

Their playability is fantastic but construction doesn't match the play.

playing with 1980ish meucci cues, until the ownership change, was akin to driving an Indy 500 race care, only very talented people who have played with the dynamic era cues, featuring straight or concave tapered shafts, for some time were able to exploit their full potential

i couldn't do some thing's i could with a meucci, but, i just got out more when i was supposed to with a stiffer cue

i'm not knocking the cue, i'd probably wreck the indy car in the first turn

probably pick up a new one now that it's under new ownership foe a test drive
