Meucci BMC with an aluminum 3/8x10 modified pin and an unmarked "THE PRO" shaft
Does anyone have any info? This cue is an UN chalked cue from ten plus years ago and was part of a larger shipment of cues ordered from Meucci. for a billiard store startup that never opened. It has the Robert Meucci signature on the forearm and and the shaft is a 'The Pro' shaft but it has no lettering on it leading me to assume it was a very early one or even a prototype. Very cool cue. I don't have pictures yet, but that is what it is if anyone has any info to share I would be very interested to learn more about it.
More info, It was one of two ordered and the other one has the normal Meucci SS 5/16x18 and the shaft says THE PRO on it.

Sounds like something the store requested when they ordered, do you have the shipping manifest or receipt?

No I don't. But the cues were ordered as 'Some Meucci cues' with no special considerations or special requests. I am fairly sure it was a prototype being used to fill the order. At least that's my best guess after looking over the lot. It's one of about a dozen brand new 10 year old Meucci cues.

I've seen a few of those with the 3/8x10 Aluminum screw here in New England
This is the first one I've ever seen or heard of. I wonder what the story is on them. Were the ones you've seen on BMC' cues rather than Meucci script cues? Very interesting.

Thank you. That's the very model cue I was referring to actually. There are two of them in the group of cues. One has is a 5/16x18 That says ''THE PRO'' the one with the 3/8x10 Modified does not say ''THE PRO'' but is clearly the same shaft. Now I know. Thanks guys!

My shooter is a Pro 5 w/ The Pro shaft. The aluminum 3/8x10 is standard for this model. There are other "Pro" models with the 5/16x18 pin.

Both of these ar BMC pro 3's. just different pins and the shaft with the 3/8 pin isn't labeled The Pro.

I suspect they were made during a transition period since they are 10 year old new old stock cues purchased together. Any thoughts on that possibility?

Yes, it's a possibility but I'm not the most knowledgeable on Meucci history.

One
Man did Bob have an amazing and unique eye for using a pool cue for an artists canvas. What a mind.
One of the best examples of that statement. I was very proud when I refinished it.

Ive been looking for the butt of a Pro Series 3 (3/8x10 pin) if you're looking to part with it...
