Anyone ever made a shaft deco-ring for this model Meucci? http://www.budgetcues.com/meucci-pool-cue-97-21b.htm I know it's not a clear picture but some are probably familiar with the model. The deco-ring is two layers of plastic Mother-of-Pearl with a red washer in between. The Mother-of Pearl rings look to be small segments put together around the circumference giving it a multi-faceted appearance. I need to make a shaft but don't want to destroy the old one to re-use the ring.

I have made one I used a red plastic ring from atlas and painted the inside of the pearl white and it came out ok .

Dick, I hope you don't mind but I have a larger image that I found on the internet. It does look like a b***h to make a set of those. good luck

Dick, you can buy the pearl rod and the plastic rings from Atlas.

The Mother-of Pearl rings look to be small segments put together around the circumference giving it a multi-faceted appearance

The above appearance you are talking about is very easy to make happen. Cut the plastic pearl down to size with a dull blade, it will cause it to chip in stead of cutting smooth which will give it the appearance you are looking for.

Over all those rings are very easy to make, you should have no problem at all. I have made a number of Meucii deco rings and they are not as complicated as they appear.

Oh and by the way, I have all the materials on hand, I can cut the Pearl and send it and the red rings to you. Pm me if you need some help, I would be glad too.

Have a good night!!!!!

Thanks Manwon, Dale (PDQ) was over and we looked at the rings and they looked like they were strips of faux Mother-of-Pearl inlaid into a tube of the Atlas Mother-of-Pearl so that's what I did. I turned a piece of the Atlas stuff down to .900 and then cut 10 .125 pockets in it and then cut 10 strips of .125 flat MoP to be glued in. I'll glue them in in about 10 more minutes.

Thanks, Dick

nice attention to detail. painting the inside makes is glimmer more

I have some of those collars that I got direct from Meucci but they have green instead of red. Have you called Meucci? They may send you one......if someone answers the phone.

If not, I can send you one and you can try to cut the collars apart to remove the green ring and add a red one.
