Meucci extra shafts

I have a late '80's Meucci cue that is now the Hof-1 model. I see that there's an extra shaft available at Pooldawg that's a black dot. I don't know what the different dots mean and haven't kept up with Meucci over the years. Will that stock shaft likely fit with no problems (especially the joint diameter) and will it play pretty much like the one I have or would I have to ship my butt off to Meucci and have one custom made? The design matches fine.

On a side note, how are Meuccis now compared to the older ones (mine says Meucci Original). I really like the way it plays.

The new meucci cues are in no way as good as the older cues. I have both and the new one is terrible

You might want to check with "Neilhin" in the for sale section, he has a Meucci black dot for sale on there right now for $77. He has it listed as "Shafts for sale"..

How so? I wonder if the shafts are not as good. I might also consider buying one in the future but not if they aren't as good as the old ones.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure how to tell what kind of fit/match it would be. I still might be interested in a new one that matches the decorative design of the cue but I'll have to think about this one.
