can anyone tell me if this us a fake, I know its a power piston 4. But I can't find anything stating they made some with black inlays instead of cocobolo.... ia that spelled right.... lol

Why fake a Moochie powder pistol??? Pretty sure that's a real Meucci. Contact Budget Billiards to be sure.

i would think it's real. there are very few meucci fakes and they are easy to spot. the fake cues made now are almost exclusively predator and (weirdly enough) poison. i have seen both joss and meucci counterfeits though, years ago

Yep. They change woods/colors on cues all the time.

Looks like a very dark section of cocobolo. Look at the barbell in the picture of the butt, you can see the very dark and not as dark brown figure.

I see nothing but plastic.

I've heard it said that it's pretty easy to spot a fake Meucci. Just roll it on a table. If it's straight it's probably fake.

Just kidding. Actually, I have a Meucci sneaky that I've had for about 30 years now that's still straight other than a bit of joint wobble that it had when I got it new. This despite spending many, many years in a case in the trunk of my car in Wisconsin, year in and year out, summer and winter. I also have a 10-year-old Meucci plain Jane with a black dot shaft that is still perfectly straight. It's been treated better than the sneaky but still has spent its share of 90+ degree afternoons and -10 degree nights in the car.

I have pretty much the same cue treated more or less the same way. The only issue is at some point the ferrule started to crack just below the tip which we fixed by cutting it back down past the cracks. The only "negative" is now the cue is about 1/8 inch shorter. A non-issue.
