First off, I cant remember the model number, I know they remade this cue in the 90's and was in the Oldie line up. So any heads up on the # would be great.

A couple years ago I posted photos of a cue in which I was trying to sell. In the photo was also my Meucci I have had since 1989 when I bought it new. Sadly more people were interested in the Meucci (which was not for sale) then the one I was offering. I was wondering if there was still interest/value in it as I may be looking to sell it to clear some space.
It isn't perfect my any means, needs a refinish badly as it is peeling off in areas, and could benefit from a new wrap as well.
It is however straight, no "popped" inlays or major nicks, scratches or dents below the clear. I had a second shaft made years ago because the original was getting rather thin from years of use and "cleaning" and because, well, it hit like a Meucci.

Anyways here is some photos, I have better macro pictures somewhere I will try and find and I will have full spec tomorrow once I can ask the wife where my scales and calipers are.

Sorry for the ignorance, but does that one have the 5/16-18 joint,
or the 5/16-14 joint?

dom, i'm sure that is a 5/16-18.

Thanks Guy, I know that Kenny Koo had that sweet Hoppe that Bob
made in his garage. I'm pretty sure that Kenny stated that the cue
had a 5/16-14 joint. I just dont remember what year that was, and
if this fell into the same time frame. I'm not that well versed in the
history of Meucci cues.

Meucci OL-1

Well sir you have a OL-1. I should know I have the same cue!! Bought new in or around 1988. I bought mine new, with two shafts. 3 years ago I sent it to Meucci and had it refinished, cleaned and rewraped, didn't really need all that but I had it done anyway. One of my shafts is a little warped the other is in very good shape, both have new tips. Both are very nice for there age. MO are great hitting cues,as you know,I don't think I will ever part with mine:D.. I take it you are from Indiana?..Funny so am I. I think your cue refinished and cleaned up with a new wrap should be worth between $250-$350 dollars,IMHO..but overall condition does affect the price, having original playable shafts helps too. I would think mine with the two original shafts and it's excellent condition would be worth $350-$400..
Just my opinion..I could be wrong... Good Luck with your cue!!

If you ever get the chance stop into Meucci's in Byhalia,Miss. Very nice people, I was there in Jan of this year, ask for Barbara, tell her John from Indiana sent you:D

Had quite a few PM's regarding this cue, mostly wanting to know what I want for it. To be honest, I have no idea what its worth anymore, which makes it hard because I would like to sell it. I had a PM a couple years ago from a AZer who is a collector and he gave me a rough value and said if I ever wanted to sell it to let him have first dibs...but for the life of me I cant remember who that was.:(

As for sending it to Meucci...I wouldn't send them a 5 dollar house cue! With the track record they have established the last decade you are basically playing the lottery if you will ever see your cue again, let alone get the same one back. Check out past threads here and elsewhere on the Internet about their sub-par customer service lately. Things from dealers buying new stock to receive factory seconds, to customers sending their cues in for repairs to get a different cue back or their cue in worse shape then when they sent it in. Sad really, because Meucci was a household name, and one of the best cuemakers (productions wise) out there for quite awhile. Now, well, most "serious" cue enthusiasts, just think they are a joke with shoddy products.

At any rate to get back on subject. This cue is for sale along with a certain Espiritu that some Azers may remember. I also have a 3x5 Instroke Cowboy case w/accessories Id like to get rid of as well. If there's any interest in any of it I can post pictures and specs.

Odd...

Seems my FOR SALE cue has been moved to the gallery...
Smart thinking, seeing how this is where all the pool related sales go down...
