I usually wait til i've heard something a few times before asking so here it goes: has Meucci cue co. been sold?? Heard it enough times now that i think asking in a forum like ours is ok.

Unless there is a HUGE and complete turn-around in quality control and customer service at Meucci, after my experiences with them and their product, there is no way I would ever buy anything from that company, regardless of who the owner is. - GJ
Agreed. I ordered a muecci with a pro shaft form seyberts. After reading all these horror stories, yours being one of them, I immediately canceled the order and got a cuetec. Its too bad, because I like the designs on some of them, but not worth the fear and hassle.

they have the equipment and the know-how to build a good cue. a change in ownership can be a huge deal. i wouldn't write then totally off just yet. that Pro shaft btw plays great. the one's ive seen/hit were made very well.

Yeah I bought a brand new one in around 1985 and with in 6 months it warped and I always kept it in a case and no extreme temps.

Maybe a Chinese company will buy them and make good cues again.
I am sincerely shocked by that. I put mine in their case and they sat in my closet for 30 years and they were as straight as ever.

Definitely not saying that.
Got it. I am not defending the products they make now. I called and emailed them about a question I had for my cues and they never answered me so I know they have gone way down hill. I am just speaking to my experience.

The old cues are great. No question about that. Wtf happened to them is the real question
Bob got old. Customer service was never good. I dont think they ever established good customer service rapport from the beginning. Doesnt seem like Bob's the kind of guy that gives a shit once something is sold and has left the building. People have waited upwards of a year for cue repairs. All the while no communication while waiting. Goes to show what kind of guy he is.

I never met him. He did build a hell of a brand and biz over the years. Paid top dollar to players to rep his products. He can’t be all bad.

That may be true, but its customer service that shows your true character and how you take care of people that buy your EXPENSIVE product. Hitler commanded some serious respect and created a hell of a brand with Nazism and "white power", but he's still an evil POS :ROFLMAO: Facebook created a damn good social app and media platform, but we all know what kind of person Mark Zuckerberg is.

And I just want to add that maybe if he had or would got on here every once and a while and defended his product and service, we wouldn't be where we are today. He can only blame himself for not taking the time to make things right with his customers. It shows a bigger picture.

Bobs son came on year a few years ago and said he was going to turn around the company and be much better going forward.
I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

When you think your product is so good that people will keep buying it regardless than you have a problem.
