They were one of the better brands when I started playing 25 years agoWell maybe someone will rebuild the brand for better. Like when Meucci was on top of business.
Agreed. I ordered a muecci with a pro shaft form seyberts. After reading all these horror stories, yours being one of them, I immediately canceled the order and got a cuetec. Its too bad, because I like the designs on some of them, but not worth the fear and hassle.Unless there is a HUGE and complete turn-around in quality control and customer service at Meucci, after my experiences with them and their product, there is no way I would ever buy anything from that company, regardless of who the owner is. - GJ
they have the equipment and the know-how to build a good cue. a change in ownership can be a huge deal. i wouldn't write then totally off just yet. that Pro shaft btw plays great. the one's ive seen/hit were made very well.Unless there is a HUGE and complete turn-around in quality control and customer service at Meucci, after my experiences with them and their product, there is no way I would ever buy anything from that company, regardless of who the owner is. - GJ
They were the best when I bought mine in '89. I still have both of them. They were one of the better brands when I started playing 25 years ago
And it's these comments that keeps them in business to this day lolThey were the best when I bought mine in '89. I still have both of them.
So you're saying they didn't make good cues back then? Did you have ever own one or hit one back in the late '80's or early '90's?And it's these comments that keeps them in business to this day lol
Definitely not saying that.So you're saying they didn't make good cues back then? Did you have ever own one or hit one back in the late '80's or early '90's?
Yeah I bought a brand new one in around 1985 and with in 6 months it warped and I always kept it in a case and no extreme temps. So you're saying they didn't make good cues back then? Did you have ever own one or hit one back in the late '80's or early '90's?
I am sincerely shocked by that. I put mine in their case and they sat in my closet for 30 years and they were as straight as ever.Yeah I bought a brand new one in around 1985 and with in 6 months it warped and I always kept it in a case and no extreme temps.
Maybe a Chinese company will buy them and make good cues again.
Got it. I am not defending the products they make now. I called and emailed them about a question I had for my cues and they never answered me so I know they have gone way down hill. I am just speaking to my experience.Definitely not saying that.
Bob got old. Customer service was never good. I dont think they ever established good customer service rapport from the beginning. Doesnt seem like Bob's the kind of guy that gives a shit once something is sold and has left the building. People have waited upwards of a year for cue repairs. All the while no communication while waiting. Goes to show what kind of guy he is.The old cues are great. No question about that. Wtf happened to them is the real question
I never met him. He did build a hell of a brand and biz over the years. Paid top dollar to players to rep his products. He can’t be all bad.Bob got old. Customer service was never good. That may be true, but its customer service that shows your true character and how you take care of people that buy your EXPENSIVE product. Hitler commanded some serious respect and created a hell of a brand with Nazism and "white power", but he's still an evil POSI never met him. He did build a hell of a brand and biz over the years.
