Meucci sale....???

Speaking of Meuccis and hit - joint differences etc…. Hard for me to believe the Meucci joint had no effect on hit. I only had one meucci and only hit with a couple. I still have my Huebler. Both 5/16-18 flat face joints. Huebler stainless collar. Meucci implex. The hit was totally different. The joint was not 100% responsible. Shaft flex/ taper played a role. Similar shaft diameters, similar tips. Bind test from years ago notwithstanding. Maybe a player could misidentify the hit. But you don’t have to be a pro to feel a big difference.
Believe whatever you want. This has been covered a lot over the years. Difference in a Huebler and a Meucci 'hits' was not the joint. Ferrule material was biggest difference as Bob used a really soft, thin wall plastic uncapped ferrule. Taper of shaft was different too. VERY few pros and probably zero am's could tell a cue by its joint type. If you think you can and it makes you sleep better then keep with it.

I use to Like Meuccie's Sneaky pete cues when they were full splice, but the new models are ugly and appear to be nowhere near the same quality.

always the thing hitting the ball (first contact) is where the hit/feel/ and resonance begins ... ferrule matterial ... tip hardness and type .. shaft stiffness .. ext

if cues are screwed tightly together and they are well made i doubt the joint type would matter.

i have several cues with different joints and it has always been more about the ferrule and tip than the joint.

i use to change out the ferrule and tips to adjust the way a cue played ... harder/softer/ferrule matterial/?? ... soft / medium / hard tip ect until i found what fits for my style

Not a question of sleeping better and I did say players could misidentify a hit. We have all hit with cues with different joints. How can the joint have zero % to do with the hit? The vibration of the hit goes through it to your hand. Other things affect the hit I agree. I have a Schuler with a variety of shafts. Not my main cue for pool or carom. It hits different from my other cues. Could I identify it in a blind test? Maybe not. But I can say it feels different from other flat face joint pool cues I have and different from a radial pin piloted Hanbat carom I have or old school wood joint carom cues I have let go. And if you switch between a carom shaft and a pool shaft on it, the hit is still there, although the different tapers make a difference.

I don’t think a particular joint is the be all end all and I could find cues I like with different joints. I agree the feel of a cue depends on several factors. But different joints are different.
