Meucci SE 10 For sale on eBay

This is my auction. In reading these threads, I am learning that this cue may not be as valuable as I think, but the based on the information I had, my price seems to be in the ball park.

I ask that if you have comments, please only make positive comments. I am not trying to troll for an argument. I realize that I am not as well informed as you folks obviously are with respect to cues and billiards in general.

If you have any insight as to where I might sell this cue and what pricing might be appropriate, I'd greatly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers.

Speaking positively....For a Meucci, it is a "rare" cue with quite a bit of detail.

Since you ask what pricing might be appropriate, I'll say that I have seen (more than once) brand new ones sell on eBay for less than $1000. I would be willing to bet that if you cut your starting price in half it wouldn't get a bid.

My 2 cents...good luck with it.

Steve,

Setting such a high price might kill your action permanently on this cue.
If you would like to see what it's worth, you can set a reserve and let people bid. The highest final bids are likely the value. Sorry, but this cue will probably only fetch $600 or so.

Chris

Your price is up into the the price point of some very well respected custom cuemakers. Most people who are looking in that price range are looking for one of a kind cues. You'll be very hard pressed to get more than $1000 for it.

Good luck on the sale anyway.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I was going off of some information I found at a single website that had information about that specific cue. I posted my auction right before I came here and got a bit more information about the custom cue market. We'll probably let this one go and reset the auction at much lower reserve.

If you don't ask, the answer is always "no". Right?

Thanks again for your feedback and information. I truly appreciate it.

Cheers.

Steve.

Live and learn. It's a nice cue, but collectors are a very discerning and elitist bunch. I think your cue is interesting, you should have no problem selling it. If it we're mine, I would start the bidding around $400 and set a reserve of around $700. That's a pretty good price for a Limited edition Meucci.

Good Luck with the sell.

It's worth about 3 Bic Lighters (empty ones), if you ask me.

just more hot air!

Sherm >>I may have been a bit high, might only be worth 2. ;)

Now see....I coulda said that (seeing as how it was pretty much the exact phrase that went through my mind, but it's not very "positive" and I was trying to be nice. ;)
