Meucci

I have well over 50 Meucci cues here and I can't say any of them are junk. I can put a $12 J&J shaft on them, and they still hit good.

When I order new Meucci cues, I order all cues with a 13mm shaft...including the red dot and black dot. Yeah...I have to send a lot back because of defects, but even the cues with the defects hit good.

That pretty much sums it up.

A few years ago I decided I was finally going to get a Meucci Gambler, it was a cue I always wanted to own, so I started researching them, and found many different versions and decal variations on the playing cards through the years, and then the whole shaft thing, Red Dot, Black Dot and No Dot just confused me, I remember going to the Meucci web page and watching a Robot arm with the different shafts attached to it smacking cue balls to measure deflection. I gave up on the project.

I used to play 1 Pocket with a guy around here in the mid 80's that had a Meucci with the Chess pieces on it, it was great hitting cue, I lost touch with him years ago, then I found out he had passed away, I called his wife to offer condolences and find out what became of the cue, she told me she donated their pool table and his cue to a local church, I tried to track down the cue, but it seems it disappeared and nobody knew a thing about it.

I have a bunch of Meucci cues. Nearly 2 dozen- the RB is a great looking cue and value IMO.

Bob is making cues everyday- in the shop everyday - turning out a very nice product.

I'm a big fan of the black dot- picking out one of the red dot I just got in a shipment either a pp3,pp4,pat5,rbBLUE to make my red dot demo/ personal collection.

When you take into account all the cues are hand made/ no CNC machining- the man hours and time it takes to make each cue. The curing processes- the setting stage in the barrels. etc..

Just got a Casino 3 in the shipment- ridiculous - you'd never know all the inlays beneath your hand if you closed your eyes. Absolutely, gorgeous.

The cues I've had for the last few years (since I was introduced)- 2008/09 are in great shape.

Until I got on a forum I never knew there was anything negative about a Meucci cue. (my new slogan?)

My brother and I use to sell them back in the 70's and 80's. And we sold a bunch of them. And they were good cues. A couple of years ago I had a guy that wanted a power piston 4. We ordered it but when it came the inlays in the points were cracked and the finish was uneven. We called in about it and got the run around. We sent it back and called for over 6 months trying to get a replacement or our money back nothing. They finally sent another cue out but by then the original buyer had bought another cue elsewhere. So we wound up selling it on ebay and taking a bath. After that I swore I'd never deal with them again. So the guys on here that are saying Meucci is getting a bad rap and people are just hating on them for no good reason. must not have dealt with Meucci directly. I know I'm not the only one that has been hung out by this company.

Man I just got a brand new one- looks great- red dot shaft. Ever consider a 2nd chance? I haven't been around to know cues over the decades- just over the last few years. Whatever happened during a previous era of the business- I'm not here for history. The current cues are great. That cue has some very nice inlays- glad you liked it/ since I choose it to carry in my collection to show. (Sorry for the bad luck)- All cues I sell have manufactures warranty as a distributor/ never chalked/
