MEZZ Break Cues...

Is there a problem with the Airshooter butt fitting into the side pouch of an Instroke, as well? :smile:

This is a photo without the bumper installed. No way the butt fits with it or a joint protector installed.
:grin: We had a guy at this weekend's pool tournament who would break without a bridge and run at the cue ball and hit it at about 20mph but he really looked like what Don Quixote might look like, battling his imaginary enemies.
Mainly the shaft. The PB Pro has a shaft that's cored with ash and has a stiffer hit.

The dilemma is solved. I purchased a Mezz Power Break cue with the Deep Impact shaft. It has the silicon grip (I think Joey was asking about the grip in another thread) which is the bees knees.
Along with that I bought the Airshooter jump cue. I was jumping right from the get go, using a dart stroke, but need to work a little with the conventional stroke. (Probably need more action in the wrist.)

P.S. jr, the break cue is kind of a reddish orange. More subdued than yours, but still a bit flashy.

Let us know how the silicon grip works out in your cue case. I'm curious if over time, it will try to collect pilings from the cloth cue case.
I lent my new PB II to a close friend night before last and he left it in the pool room. Luckily a good Samaritan picked it up and gave it to the bartender to keep. It's nice to know there are some honest people in the world.

The silicon grip is great. In my estimation the non-slip grip helps preven the shooter from tightening his grip through the stroke, lessening the possibility of miscue.
I have a new Instroke case and the cue does drag some when pulling it out, but nothing to be concerned about. As for debris accumulation on the grip, I have had no problems yet and would imagine that it can be cleaned, much like a golf club grip, with a soft brush and soapy water.
This cue hits hard with little effort.
Mine should be here tomorrow, anxious to try it out. I decided not to get the H-shaft because I heard it weighed 6 oz (!!!)...my current break cue is 17 oz, and I'll be going up to 19 on the Pro, so stuck with the p-DI shaft. Glad to hear the Trampster is pleased!

I've the opportunity to own a PB I and as well as a PBII (with PB-H shaft). Been through many breaks such as BK, BK2, Sledgehammer, Stinger, J&J's etc
Can't really go wrong with Mezz breaks. They're really firm on the break and scatter the rack with great ease.
The PB-H shaft is pretty pricy for a shaft alone but I feel it's one of the best investments I've ever made. You have to own one to understand where I'm coming from

Both models are very good break-cues. Imo a very good balance given by both cues.
The PB ll has a little advantage in transfering some percent more of energy. This is in my opinion the only important difference.
To choose between the grip/handle-well that s just personal preference. The *sport grip* is also nice- but don t fits for everyone.
At least, for someone who really don t play that super often 9b, 10b or 8b, the PB with DI shaft is the better choice if you also would think about the factor money.
If money don t play a role....choose the Dll, it give some percent more energy to whitey by stroking with the same effort/acceleration.

I sold the PMII for the same thing I paid for it. Another guy loved the way it jumped and broke. I wanted to purchase another MEZZ break cue and try it out but haven't done so yet. My predator BK II with a vinyl grip is working well right now except for a few balls flying off the table this past week. Corey got lucky. :wink:
