I don't know if this has been announced anywhere, but Mezz is now carrying the Ignite shaft in other joints. I really loved my Ignite but got rid of the cue I had it with and have been using the Cynergy shaft on my Diveney since as my main player. I grabbed a 3/8x10 this morning and looking forward to testing it out again. VA state 10 ball is in 3 weeks, so likely it will stay in the case until after that, but I was very impressed with the shaft previously and will be happy to do some testing and comparison after that.

I love my Mezz Ignite shaft. I tried out but never liked the Revo shaft. The main issue in my opinion as to why the Mezz Ignite has not gotten the accolades it deserves is the high $ retail price combined with the very small wholesale discount % Mezz provides to its dealers, so the bottom line is that not many people have purchased them.

I wish they'd offer it in 12.75. Guys on the Mezz FB page have been asking for this since it came out. I don't like anything under 12.5 myself. Nice shaft but awfully expensive.

I tried the revo as well and did not like the feel. Cynergy is a great shaft! and I don't know that this will replace it, but I felt like the Ignite was the best of the CF shafts I had tried when I had it.

Mezz is one of my top 2 or 3 CF shafts, only shaft really that I would say I would use without worry aside from the Revo. My son owned one for a bit and I like it, he did not as much although loved it when testing one out. Glad they have other threads now without having a cue maker do the work.

Has anyone got a weight on these shafts? is there a weight difference between the 29 and 30 inch shafts?

FYI, they do charge $35 extra for the Ignite with custom joints ($604 vs $569), and they also charge an additional $40 for the 30” shafts.

Thanks Chris look forward to hearing about the weight. I know when McDemott started with their I shafts they were very light near 3 ounces.

Is it worth selling a Jacoby Black for the Mezz? I loved all my other Mezz stuff.

You’d have to talk with someone who has played with both shafts, and even then it’s the subjective opinion of one person. You need to play with both of them yourself to make that decision.

One of these days I am going to drive on out 40 and head to Boone for a night. Have lunch at The Daniel Boone Inn and if it's possible, try those shafts Chris? And as long as I don't get caught behind the Santa Parade! That happened once when we were on a trip to cut down our Xmas tree. Yikes, it took 1.5 hours just to get thru town!!!!

Still planning to get back to you with the weights of the 29” and 30” Ignite shafts.

Weights for Ignite shafts in ounces:

Ignite 29” Wavy Joint - 3.75 oz
Ignite 30” Wavy Joint - 3.80 oz

Ignite 29” United Joint - 4.33 oz
Ignite 30” United Joint - 4.33 oz

I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise there is roughly a half ounce weight difference between the wavy joint (lighter) and the united joint (heavier), but virtually no difference in the weight between the 29-inch and 30-inch lengths.

Thanks for making the time to do this it's very interesting to me. My main player is a 59 inch like that weighs 19.30 ounce. My Bender is quite a bit lighter and a standard 58 inch length. I have been looking for a longer heavier cf shaft for the Bender to get it closer to my Kikel in both areas. Very interesting information. Thanks Again.. I appreciate it!!!
