Mezz Shaft WD700 Comparison

I am looking at getting a new l/d shaft and was looking at the WD700.
I wish I could try one out but, no luck in my area.

Those of you who have tried this shaft can you compare this to any other l/d shaft as far as feel. Stiff, but not as stiff as…

My favorite of the Mezz shafts. Medium stiff, nice taper, always nice wood. Should contact MezzUSA & speak with Caroline. She can give you all the info you need and is a sweetheart of a person. Worth a call, IMO.

I did s/w Caroline last week or so.
She did explain it has more deflection than the 314-2 but I did not get much info from her on feel.
Medium stiff helps, but I sure I don't have all the experience that most here have.
If it could compared to another shaft I will help me understand to a degree how it might feel.
Does it feel like a 314-2? How about an I shaft or OB 1 or classic shaft.

A friend has a wd700 and I have hit balls with it. I play with a first generation predator and the wd700 has a very similar hit and feel to my predator. The hit of the wd700 is definitely firmer/stiffer than the 314-2.

I just had my cue refinished and my buddy loaned me his Wayne Holmes with a 314-2 shaft for a month and a half. The 314-2 does have less deflection than my shaft and I adjusted to that okay but I hated the lack of firmness in the hit.... When it comes time to retire my shaft Mezz has me locked up on buying a wd700. Mika started using one and started winning again, Corey started using one and did the same, Alex is playing with one now, that is one hell of an endorsement right there....

Imo the 314^2 and wd700 are somewhat close in hit but the wd700 feels a little better. If you take away the hollow feel of the 314^2 you would have the wd700. I personally think the ob1 feels better than all other ld shafts

WD700 has very low deflection with a soft tip. Stock Moori M is a little hard for the shaft. Most of the WD700 have medium stiff hit. It is definitely stiffer than 314-2 and OB but with very similar deflection.
