That's an easy explanation: Michael Vollmer was the trainee of Tony.kamdaswani said:...i use a black boar so was wondering how similar they are...
The pricing starts in the area of €1500 ($2000). Some more pictures:dave sutton said:wow... it amazes me when i see an excellent cue maker ive never heard of.

Vollmer cues are built by the same technical specifications (e.g. deep knifed points and solid core) as BlackBoar. And naturally the design vibes are very similiar...
BB Custom Cues said:-Tony has made many new discovery's in cue building in the 10+ years since he helped Michael, But Michael does have some similar construction details but the cues are not the same techinal specifications, and they do play different. Really good shaft wood is very difficult to come by in Germany- for one.
I can't seem to pull up your Gallery, sir. Any chance you can post some pics directly to AZB?? I'd love to see what you guys are hiding over there!!!cuemasterpieces said:Hey Kam,

I dropped Mr. Vollmer a line, and he was very quick to respond. Seems as though he's VERY excited about having folks interested in his work....and I may explore having one done by him sometime down the road. He said that "turnaround" time can be in the 6-month range. Not too shabby!!
Yep...that link works just fine!!! Gorgeous cues, sir.....and that Ivory 6-pointer is the nuts!!!cuemasterpieces said:Maybe this works better ....
