Bob and Eydie,
Have you got dates for this years expo yet? I was trying to schedule some time off so that I might attend.Eydie hope you are feeling well. Thanks

Hey Tony!

Glad you asked! I am in the process of securing one of two possibilities for the location. We had a pile of problems with the last resort and I am not sure if we are going to sign back up with them again. I will have an answer within the next 10 days. In addition, I have shut down all my websites because we are going to use just one new site that will be up and running soon. This will make it less complicated for everyone.

Thanks for asking and thanks to all for all the good reviews. We made the "Pass" in the pass/fail 101 class for Billiards Digest this year. It was quite the compliment for a first time event.

This year, we are planning on the vendors being invitational. That means that only certain vendors will be attending. This will stop a lot of the redundant merchandise and will make it easier for the vendors that we do have to make a better profit. Over the next years we will build it back to a bigger amount of vendors.

We are adding another 30 or so tables to the event, bringing the 8 and 9 ball tournaments up to 512 and adding a ring game!! WOOHOO! I know a lot of people were asking for it, so you got it!

I am open to all suggestions, you know that they all count and I will consider each and every one of them.

My friend and I will be very interested in attending. I assumed that the expo will be held in Chicago, correct? :D

Will any custom cue dealers be there? I am planning to purchase a custom cue soon.

Are you going to use any nine foot tables for any of the games?
What other states are you looking at? Wisconsin, Indiana?

If you slipped into Michigan, you wouldnt hurt my feelings :)

I still will drive the 4 hours as needed! Great tourneys, wish ya the best for the future!

IMO, I think the Midwest open and expo should be held in the Chicagoland area. Besides the Windy City open, theres no other major pool event thats held in Chicago on a yearly basis. There are so many tours out east, west, Florida etc and there a big void here.

Thanks Bob and Eydie.Did you say you were bringing the expo to Indianapolis? Great.Thanks.lol Look foward to hearing the new info soon.

LOL Tony, No I didn't say Indy but there is always that possibility. If you all have ANY Midwest locations that you would like me to consider, please feel free to e-mail them to me at windycityopen@aol.com Anything is possible.

For those who attended last year, what did you think of the hotel?

Thanks,

Eydie

I have been receiving many private e-mails about the expo and participation. I appreciate everyone's input and have put your info to good use.

For the 2004 Midwest Expo/Open, what events would you like to see and play in? This inlcudes pro events; artistic, mens and womans. Amateur; 9 ball, 8 ball ring games and others.

Thanks,

Eydie

Hi Eydie, It's always nice to have the pro players around so if you can add a pro event, that sounds good. I would personally like to play in a ring game or 2 if you can work that in. Maybe a $200 entry with 6 players and pay first and second. Or a one pocket event. I had a great time at the last one and we're all looking forward to this year. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Sam

P>S> The hotel last year was ok.
