Mika V De Luna Controversy....

clearly Mika called (can hear on video) and beyond that it was obvious how he played it what his intention was. For De Luna to even get out of his chair is a bad look. Let alone to argue after

What should happened that didn't was an "unsportsmanlike" foul called on Mika.

While I agree with his frustration. I don't with his verbal attack on DeLuna. All the drama after Mika yelling at DeLuna of his own making. DeLuna did nothing wrong in this instance.
  1. Mika didn't call the shot loudly enough for the Ref to hear it clearly.
  2. The shot was complicated in intention beyond a direct pot into an obvious pocket. <-your personal bias doesn't alter this fact
  3. Ref called a foul, DeLuna stood up to take his shot.
  4. Mika (rightly) loses it about making the declaration of a foul.
  5. Both are asked to sit down, and they do.
  6. Ref recants his call and Mika unjustly yells at DeLuna.
  7. Mika gets away with being Mika
Ya ya I'm a Mika hater. No I'm not, but I still recall getting thrashed on this forum because I suggested he doesn't play at his peak form anymore...lol. There are some that squeeze this man's nuts real hard.

Mika is clearly the antagonist in this situation. Shame he wasn't made an example of.

The video is kind of rough. The angle and with the commentators talking I couldn't hear him call or point out the shot. The shot is very obvious even the commentators are talking about the 5-9 combo. Mika did act like an ass after the fact, but I would probably be doing the same thing.

Live quality control of you product sounds foolhardy. Further, all this fuss over decorum is silly. The players aren't cavemen and the general population doesn't need the corporate brainwash. Fyask me, the only reason not to lose your shit is so you don't go off.

I saw it the exact same way. I'm guessing that these two have some kind of history together. There was no reason for Mika to be so obnoxious towards DeLuna after the ref did what he did.

I dont think De Luna does anything at all until after the ref calls the foul so it's not like he was even arguing for the foul. I wonder if we will see some reaction from the tournament organizer (predator / CSI) like how Matchroom suspended Appleton last year for screaming (off camera) at an employee.

Mika is lucky he plays in such a cordial environment.

So what, I've seen women pros throw chalk at each other and yell "Bitch" as it sailed through the air. Probably what Mika should have done, but I'm not throwing my Taom chalk at anybody. If you smack someone with the rack, use the large wooden one, not the Magic Rack.

maybe de luna is the shark that fedor was talking about with joe rogan? I watched the match live and personally did not see or hear mika call it. The announcers were talking as mika was planning the shot, so that may have drowned it out. There is obviously more to the story. De luna was very fidgety in the chair while mika was shooting throughout the match. He would be cleaning shaft, working on his tip etc while mika was down on a shot and facing his direction, which i find disrespectful. Even in my small insignificant league, when someone is shooting and i am in their line of sight, I freeze and hold still until they are finished. No hand shake at the end either. Even some old earl matches that had fights involved ended in hand shakes. The whole thing wasnt a good look for professional pool.

At the moment before the shot the view was from above too. So it's hard to even say if he pointed out his shot either.

If Earl was playing either one of these guys i guarantee you they have a earl full and be seated with fear in them!
